Command History
Version Description
9.9(0.0) Introduced on the FN IOM.
8.3.16.1 Introduced on the MXL 10/40GbE Switch IO Module.
Usage Information
This command is found on the 1000/10000 Base-T Ethernet interfaces.
When you enable auto, the system performs an automatic discovery to determine
the optics installed and configure the appropriate speed.
When you configure a speed for the 1000/10000 interface, confirm the negotiation
auto command setting. Both sides of the link must have auto-negotiation either
enabled or disabled. For speed settings of 1000 or auto, the software sets the link
to auto-negotiation and you cannot change that setting.
