Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
Routing information protocol (RIP) is a distance vector routing protocol. The Dell Networking Operating System (OS) supports both RIP
version 1 (RIPv1) and RIP version 2 (RIPv2).
The implementation of RIP is based on IETF RFCs 2453 and RFC 1058. For more information about conguring RIP, refer to the Dell
Networking OS Conguration Guide.
