logging on — enables the logging asynchronously to logging buer, console, Syslog server, and terminal lines.
logging trap — enables logging to the Syslog server based on severity.
logging
buered
Enable logging and specify which messages are logged to an internal buer. By default, all messages are logged to the internal buer.
Syntax
logging buffered [level] [size]
To return to the default values, use the default logging buffered command.
To disable logging stored to an internal buer, use the no logging buffered command.
Parameters
level (OPTIONAL) Indicate a value from 0 to 7 or enter one of the following equivalent words:
emergencies, alerts, critical, errors, warnings, notifications,
informational, or debugging. The default is 7 or debugging.
size (OPTIONAL) Indicate the size, in bytes, of the logging buer. The number of messages
buered depends on the size of each message. The range is from 40960 to 524288. The
default is 40960 bytes.
Defaults level = 7; size = 40960 bytes

Usage Information When you decrease the buer size, all messages stored in the buer are lost. Increasing the buer size does not
aect messages stored in the buer.
Related Commands
clear logging — clears the logging buer.
default logging buered — returns the logging buered parameters to the default setting.
show logging — displays the logging setting and system messages in the internal buer.
