ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer
Enable expiry timers globally for all sources, or for a specic set of (S,G) pairs an access list denes.
Syntax
ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer seconds [access-list name]
To disable congured timers and return to default mode, use the no ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-
timer command.
Parameters
seconds Enter the number of seconds the S, G entries are retained. The range is from 211 to
86400.
access-list name (OPTIONAL) Enter the name of a previously congured Extended ACL to enable the
expiry time to specied S,G entries.
Defaults Disabled. The default expiry timer (with no times congured) is 210 sec.

Usage Information This command congures an expiration timer for all S.G entries, unless they are assigned to an Extended ACL.
ip pim spt-threshold
To switch to the shortest path tree when the trac reaches the specied threshold value, congure the PIM router.
Syntax
ip pim spt-threshold value | infinity
To return to the default value, use the no ip pim spt-threshold command.
Parameters
value (OPTIONAL) Enter the trac value in kilobits per second. The default is 10 packets per
second. A value of zero (0) causes a switchover on the rst packet.
innity (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword infinity to never switch to the source-tree.
Defaults Not congured.
