ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer
Enable expiry timers globally for all sources, or for a specic set of (S,G) pairs an access list denes.
Syntax
ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-timer seconds [access-list name]
To disable congured timers and return to default mode, use the no ip pim sparse-mode sg-expiry-
timer command.
Parameters
seconds Enter the number of seconds the S, G entries are retained. The range is from 211 to
86400.
access-list name (OPTIONAL) Enter the name of a previously congured Extended ACL to enable the
expiry time to specied S,G entries.
Defaults Disabled. The default expiry timer (with no times congured) is 210 sec.

Usage Information This command congures an expiration timer for all S.G entries, unless they are assigned to an Extended ACL.
ip pim spt-threshold
To switch to the shortest path tree when the trac reaches the specied threshold value, congure the PIM router.
Syntax
ip pim spt-threshold value | infinity
To return to the default value, use the no ip pim spt-threshold command.
Parameters
value (OPTIONAL) Enter the trac value in kilobits per second. The default is 10 packets per
second. A value of zero (0) causes a switchover on the rst packet.
innity (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword infinity to never switch to the source-tree.
Defaults Not congured.
