1. Findthepowerswitch,locatedeitherbelowthepowerplug.SeeFigure8.
2. PressthepowerswitchtotheONposition.Thepowerindicatorswilllight.
Batterieswillstarttochargeandsomehardwarecomponentswillstarttosynchronize.LEDs
willindicatethesenormalactivities.Thebatterybackupunitinstalledineachcontrolleris
shippedinapartiallydischargedstate.
Thefirsttimethesystemispoweredon,abootdelayofupto30minutesmightbeexperienced
whilethebatteryischargedtofullcapacity.

betweenthearrayandacomputer.IfyouplantousetheRemoteSetupwizard,youdonotneeda

Theserialcableshippedwiththearrayisastandardnull-modemcablewithafemaleDB9
connectoroneachend.Youmighthavetomakeorbuyanadaptercable(oneDB9connectorand
oneRJ45connector)toconnectthearraytosometerminalservermodels.SeeSerial Cable
