Connecting the Client Network Cables
For each controller, refer to the luggage tag attached to the appliance to identify the network ports for the
different switches: client, SAN, and internal. See Figure 9 for guidance on how to distribute the client
connections to support failover and to eliminate a single point of failure.
• On the left-side controller, connect the top-left client ports to one client switch, then connect the bottom-left
client ports to a different client switch.
• On the right-side controller, connect the top-left client ports to the same client switch as the bottom-left
client ports on the other controller.
• Connect the bottom-left client ports to the same client switch as the top-left client ports on the other
controller.
