A new version 17.0.12 firmware for the Intel 10 GbE NIC family is being released near the same time as
EVO:RAIL v1.2.1 Performance. CSM is configured to expect the current certified firmware version
16.5.20 to be in place, so this line item is listed with a red warning in CSM if v17.0.12 is detected on any
NICs in the cluster. As has been discussed in item “c” above, CSM for EVO:RAIL is not able to update
or downgrade NIC firmware. Thus, CSM always show this component as non- compliant, even after
executing an update cycle.
Workaround: These items must be flashed by using a manual offline update process. For more
