Installing the cooling fan

Prerequisite

1 Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.

WARNING

: Do not drop the fan into the fan cage while removing or installing the fan as this may cause damage to the

connectors on the fan tray. Exercise utmost care while removing or installing cooling fans.

Steps

1 Holding the release tabs, insert the cooling fan into the fan cage with the arrow marked on the fan pointing towards the back of the

system.

2 Lower the cooling fan to connect the connector on the fan to the connector on the fan tray.
