Default Configuration
The default value for the count parameter is 2.

User Guidelines
This command limits the number of EAP Request/Identity messages. Use the
dot1x max-req
command to limit the number of EAP Request messages other
than EAP Request/Identity.
Command History
Command introduced in version 6.5 firmware.
dot1x max-req
Use the dot1x max-req command to set the maximum number of times that
the switch sends an Extensible Authentication Protocol EAP-Request frame
to which no response is received, before restarting the authentication process.
To return to the default setting, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
dot1x max-req count
no dot1x max-req
count — Number of times that the switch sends an EAP-Request/Identity
frame before restarting the authentication process. (Range: 1–10)
