Changing the configuration of an iDRAC
The iDRAC configuration can be changed only on YX3X servers with the iDRAC Quick Sync bezel. For more information about the naming
conventions of servers, see Identifying the generation of your Dell EMC PowerEdge server .
NOTE: Reading iDRAC information through Quick Sync is not password protected. Making configuration changes
through iDRAC Quick Sync requires iDRAC credentials with appropriate permission.
To change the configuration of an iDRAC:
1. In the Inventory section of OpenManage Mobile home page, perform one of the following:
• Tap Servers, and tap the appropriate iDRAC.
• Tap View All, and tap the appropriate iDRAC.
The iDRAC dashboard is displayed.

Tap , and tap Configure.
The Configuration page is displayed.

3. Tap Configuration, and tap Manual Configuration.

4. Tap to change one or more of the properties—IPv4 and IPv6 settings, root credentials, first-boot device, system reset options,
location info, and BIOS settings.
5. Change the required settings in the configuration and tap Apply.
6. Type Username and Password of the iDRAC in the Task Credentials section.
7. Tap Sync Now to sync.
8. Turn on the iDRAC Quick Sync Bezel.
