You can perform power control operations on a server that is managed by OpenManage Essentials or an iDRAC.

For devices managed by OpenManage Essentials, power control operations are supported only on iDRACs and servers.
To perform a power control operation:
1. In the Inventory section of the OMM home page, perform one of the following:
Tap the appropriate OpenManage Essentials console.
Tap View All, and tap the appropriate OpenManage Essentials console.
2. On the OpenManage Essentials dashboard, tap Devices.
The All Devices page is displayed.
3. Tap the appropriate device category (for example, RAC), and then tap to select the device you want to perform power control
operation on.
The Device Details page is displayed.
4. Tap , and tap Reboot.

The supported power control operations are displayed.
5. Select the power control operation that you want to perform.
NOTE:
The Enable All option enables you to perform a power control operation independent of the discovery protocol.
The iDRAC performs the power-on operation and the server host operating system performs all other power
control operations.
The server and iDRAC must be discovered to perform all the power operations.
6. Tap Submit.
The OMM performs the power control operation and then displays the result of the operation.
