Device Requirements for Deployment and Compliance Tasks

The following are the device requirements for device conguration deployment and conguration compliance tasks:

• For servers:

– PowerEdge servers with the latest version of iDRAC7 or 8 with the Lifecycle Controller rmware installed.

– OpenManage Essentials—Server Conguration Management license installed on the iDRAC. This license is not the same as

the iDRAC license.

– iDRAC Enterprise or iDRAC Express license. This license is not the same as the OpenManage Essentials—Server

Conguration Management license. If the iDRAC Enterprise license is not installed on target servers, certain features of

iDRAC are not available.

• For chassis:

– Supported rmware versions:

* PowerEdge M1000e with chassis rmware version of 5.10 and above installed.

* PowerEdge VRTX with chassis rmware version of 2.1 and above installed.

* PowerEdge FX2 or FX2s with chassis rmware version of 1.3 and above installed.

– PowerEdge FX2, FX2s, and VRTX chassis must have an Enterprise License.

• For IOAs:

– IOAs must be congured in one of the following operational modes:

* Standalone

* Virtual Link Trunk (VLT)

* Programmable MUX (PMUX)

NOTE: Compliance tasks are not supported for IOAs and IOA attributes in the chassis templates.

– In the OpenManage Essentials version 2.3, the IO aggregator must have rmware version of 9.10.0.0, 9.10.0.1P10, 9.11.0.0

installed.
