Removing the expansion card riser

Prerequisites

1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.

2. Follow the procedures in Before working inside your system.

3. Remove the air shroud.

Steps

1. Open the expansion card riser latch.

2. Holding the blue touch points, lift the expansion card riser from the system.

3. If you are removing the riser permanently, install a filler bracket in the empty expansion slot and close the expansion card

latch.

4. Using a Philips #2 screw driver, tighten the screw to secure the filler bracket to the system.

Installing and removing system components
