3. Press the tab on the blue release latch to disengage it from the slot on the system.
4. Rotate the blue release latch until it locks with the PERC card.
5. Secure the blue release latch with a screw.

Replacing the system battery
Prerequisites
NOTE:
There is a danger of a new battery exploding if it is incorrectly installed. Replace the battery only with the same or
equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to the manufacturer's instructions.
● Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
● Follow the procedures in Before working inside your system.
Steps
1. Locate the battery socket. For more information, see the system board connections section.
2. Tilt the battery partially to release it from the battery holder.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the battery connector, you must firmly support the connector while installing
or removing a battery.
3. Pull the battery from the battery holder.
