the other sockets that have memory modules installed.

Next steps
1. Install the air shroud.
2. Follow the procedures in After working inside your system.
3. Press F2 to enter System Setup, and check the System Memory setting.
The System Memory Size indicates the installed memory.
4. If the System Memory Size is incorrect, one or more of the memory modules may not be installed properly. Ensure that the
memory modules are firmly seated in their sockets.
5. Run the system memory test in the system diagnostics.
Expansion cards and expansion card riser
An expansion card can be inserted into an expansion slot on the system board or into a card riser to add enhanced functionality
to the system through the expansion bus.
NOTE:
A System Event Log (SEL) event is logged if an expansion card riser is not supported or missing. It does not prevent
your system from turning on and no BIOS POST message or F1/F2 pause is displayed.
Air shroud
The air shroud directs the airflow across the system. It prevents the system from overheating and is used to maintain uniform
airflow inside the system.
Removing the air shroud
Prerequisites
CAUTION:
Never operate your system with the air shroud removed. Without the air shroud, the system may
overheat, resulting in shutdown of the system and loss of data.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
