Removing the serial ports

Prerequisites

1. Follow step 1 to step 6 in “Removing the back cover”.

2. Remove the PCI/PCIe card (if installed).

Procedure

1. Remove the hexagonal screws that secure the serial ports to the bottom-cover.

c. #4 40UNCx6.3 hexagonal screws (8)

2. Disconnect the serial-port cable from the connector on the system board.

3. Remove the serial-port cables from the bottom cover and lift it off the chassis.
