Removing the coin-cell battery

CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program’s settings to default. It is recommended that

you note the BIOS setup program’s settings before removing the coin-cell battery.

Prerequisites

1. Follow step 1 to step 6 in “Removing the back cover”.

2. Remove the PCI/PCIe card (if installed).

Procedure

1. Using a plasic scribe, push the battery-release lever away from the coin-cell battery until the coin-cell battery pops up.

2. Lift the coin-cell battery out of its socket.
