CAUTION: To prevent damage to the drives and backplane, you must remove the HDDs from the
system before removing the backplane.
CAUTION: You must note the number of each HDD and temporarily label them before removal so
that you can replace them in the same locations.
1. Ensure that you read the Safety instructions.
2. Complete the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Turn o the system.
4. Remove the system cover.
5. Remove all HDDs.
6. Remove all system fans and the fan cage.
7. Remove all PSUs.
8. Remove all server sleds.
9. Remove all expander boards.
10. Disconnect all cables from the backplane.
