Adding and Configuring DRAC 4 Users and Alerts
To manage your system with the DRAC 4, you can create unique users with
specific administrative permissions (role-based authority). Additionally,
you can configure alerts that are emailed to different users.
This subsection provides instructions about how to perform the following
tasks:

Use the
Add/Configure DRAC 4 User
page to configure the user name,
password, access permissions, and email alert settings for a new or existing
DRAC 4 user.
Configuring a New User Name and Password
Use Table 4-1 to configure a new or existing DRAC 4 user name and
password.

Property Description
User Name Specifies a DRAC 4 user name. After you enter a user
name, it cannot be changed. Each user must be created
with a different user name.
NOTE: User names on the local DRAC 4 must not contain
the @ (at the rate) , \ (back slash) , " (double quotes), /
(forward slash), or . (period) characters.
Password Specifies or edits the DRAC 4 user's password.
Confirm New Password Requires you to retype the DRAC 4 user's password to
confirm.
