Printing the Page
Click the Print button in the top-right corner of the screen to print the

Configuring the DRAC 4 NIC

page, configure the DRAC 4 NIC settings
and configure email alert settings.

NOTE: You must have Configure DRAC 4 permission to change the Network
Configuration page settings.
NOTE: Most DHCP servers require a server to store a client identifier token in its
reservations table. The client (DRAC 4, for example) must provide this token during
DHCP negotiation. For RACs, the DRAC 4 supplies the client identifier option using a
one-byte interface number (0) followed by a six-byte MAC address.
Apply Changes Adds a new DRAC 4 user or commits changes made to the
current DRAC 4 user.

Opens the DRAC 4 Users page.

Setting Description
MAC Address Displays the DRAC 4 MAC address.
Enable NIC
(default: Enabled)
Enables the DRAC 4 NIC and activates the remaining controls
in this group.
Use DHCP (For
NIC IP Address)
(default: Disabled)
Enables Dell OpenManageâ„¢ Server Administrator to obtain
DRAC 4 NIC IP address from the Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. Selecting the check
box deactivates the Static IP Address, Static Gateway, and
Static Subnet Mask controls.
