1526 Power Over Ethernet Commands
Commands in this Chapter
This chapter explains the following commands:
power inline
The power inline command enables/disables the ability of the port to deliver
power.
Syntax
power inline { auto | never }
no power inline

auto
— Enables device discovery and, if a device is found using the
method specified by the power inline detection setting,
supplies power to
the device.
•
never
— Disables the device discovery protocol and stops supplying power
to the device.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet).
User Guidelines
Auto enables the switch to negotiate with the powered device via LLDP to
learn the device's desired power draw. The power inline detection parameter
should be set to class.
