Managing Virtual Resources
9-74 Active System Manager User Guide, Release 7.0
The Monitoring console mode is used to monitor already opened connections to the resource. It does
not open any new connection with a resource; for example, if the protocol is set for Secure Shell (SSH),
the user is not prompted for a username and password. The Show message on console display option
displays the Mediation Server information messages. The Secure session check box option opens an
SSL socket.
Note You can open multiple console windows from different Sessions perspective sessions.

Using the Active Terminals View
The Active Terminals view is a navigation view that is part of the Sessions perspective (for a running
session); see Figure 9-63. This view displays all of the open terminals (mediation consoles) associated with
that session, and it provides you with single-click access to all of your open consoles.
If you have many terminals open, to navigate to a specific terminal, you must located it manually. The
Active Terminals view lists all the open terminals within a session and allows you to directly navigate to it
by double-clicking (or using the Activate context menu) the desired terminal.
This view also allows you to close selected consoles (a multi-select also provided), and it also provides the
standard filtering and grouping capabilities. You can set up filters and the group by options via the Terminal
properties.
