Provides another way for users to protect Office documents and PDFs. When you
configure a TITUS classification for Data Guardian, users can right-click a file and
select that TITUS classification to have the Office file or PDF encrypted.

Basic File Protection
With Data Guardian v1.6 and higher, you can configure applications and file types, such as .txt or .png,
in addition to Office documents. This policy applies at the Enterprise level. A sweep of users’ computers
encrypts those configured file types.

You may want to allow users to exclude existing files with that file extension from
an encryption sweep, for example:
To prevent files needed by the system from being encrypted
To create a folder where users can place files of that type that do not
require security or encrypting

Note: You must inform users to create this folder and place existing files there
before you enable Basic File Protection.
