Key Management
The administrator can manage key ownership.
The keyid is available here:
Reporting > Audit Events > Columns > File KeyID. See Options_in_the_Columns_menu.
On the client side, a user can right-click a protected file to see the KeyID.
To find/change the owner for a key:
1. In the left pane, navigate to Management > Data Guardian Management.
2. Select the Key Management tab.
3. Enter the keyid and click Find Owner. The owner displays in the Current Owner field.
4. In the New Owner field, enter the email address of the new owner and click Change Owner.
To change ownership for all keys:
1. In the left pane, navigate to Management > Data Guardian Management.
2. Select the Key Management tab.
3. Select Change Ownership for ALL keys.
4. Enter the email address of the current owner.
5. Enter the email address of the new owner.
6. Click Change Owner.
If changing ownership for all keys, a table, Key Changes in Progress, displays at the bottom during the
transfer. When complete, this content is removed. The Log Analyzer
displays a log of the entries in the
Transfer of keys column that have changed ownership.
Web Portal
To access the Web Portal URL:
1. In the left pane, click Management > Data Guardian Management.
2. Select the Web Portal tab.
Portal URL - The URL used to access the enterprise's Data Guardian web portal. After the portal URL is
entered and saved, it is displayed on the Management Console's Downloads
page. Additionally, it is
displayed on the cover page of a protected file if the user does not have access to the key. This portal
URL also displays on the Activation page after a new user registers.
Change Superadmin Password
1. In the masthead at the top of the screen, click the gear icon and select Change superadmin
password.
2. Enter the current password.
3. Enter the new password.
