6. On the old PC, once the migration is complete, you may click on Erase This PC to perform an erase of the old PC on which
Dell Data Assistant is running.

Issues while launching Dell Data Assistant on old PC
Ensure the following prechecks are in place before initiating the Dell Migrate process:
● You must be signed in as an Admin to run Migrate as it requires advanced permissions to read and write data on your new
PC.
● Both PCs need to be connected to the same network.
● Make sure other applications (for example, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Pictures are closed before initiating the
migrate process).
● Also, both the old (source) PC and new (target) PC should be connected to the AC power source.
While launching Dell Data Assistant on the old (Source) PC, you might see an error screen with the error—We weren't able to
run Dell Data Assistant - To try again, click Close and wait for five seconds and then restart the application.
