Troubleshooting migration failure
About this task
The migration failed screen can show up on Dell Data Assistant if an unexpected error occurs when the application is running.

Steps
1. Click on Try Again to retry the migration process. You must also make sure to click on Migrate Again on Dell Migrate
(within SupportAssist) or start the migration again from the Home screen on Dell Migrate (within SupportAssist), on the
new PC so that migration will start from beginning.
2. If you continue to face issues, try closing Dell Data Assistant on the old PC and Dell Migrate (within SupportAssist) on the
new PC and restart both PCs. Relaunch both the applications and ensure that the following prechecks are validated before
retrying the migration process by following the steps in Migrate and erase data from old PC on page 5.
● You must be signed in as an Admin on both PCs.
● Both PCs are required to be connected to the same network.
