Retry or finish the migration process after it was
cancelled
About this task
There are two scenarios when the you can explicitly terminate the migration process on the new PC:
When you click on Cancel any time after both PCs have pairedin this case, on the new PC you will be taken to the
SupportAssist Home screen and you must start the Dell Migrate migration process over from the beginning. On the old PC,
Dell Data Assistant will also ask you to start over the migration from the beginning by clicking Try Again.
When you click on Cancel any time after data transfer has started from the old PC to new PC (you have clicked on Migrate
Now on the new PC)in this case, you can retry the migration from the details screen without having to perform the initial
steps to connect the two PCs again. However, if you completed the migration by clicking OK or Finish, you can start over
from the beginning.
When the migration process had begun by clicking Migrate Now and then the migration is cancelled on the new PC, you will get
a prompt on the old PC to review the migration summary on the new PC.

Steps
1. On the new PC, if you click on OK, the migration process will be completed and you will need to relaunch the migration
process from the beginning if you want to retry migrating files/settings. However, you can click on View details to review
the files and settings that failed to migrate as the migration process was cancelled. Viewing the details will also give you an
opportunity to retry the failed files/settings without starting from the beginning.
