Default behavior of drive mapping
When no mapping is selected during the migration, the default behavior of the drive mapping with Dell Migrate works as outlined
below:
If the new PC has only one drive, then all the drives are mapped to the single drive as there are no alternatives available
If more than one drive is available on the new PC:
Dell Migrate will map the OS drive of the old PC to the OS drive of the new PC.
Dell Migrate will map the drives on the old PC to the new PC where names match, and enough space is available on the
new PC drive.
If an old PC drive is not mapped by the user, then Dell Migrate will map the old PC drive to a new PC drive where the
sizes are accommodating even if the names do not match on both the drives.
If transfer size of any drive on the old PC is 0, Dell Migrate will map it to the OS drive of the new PC and deselect the
drive mapping by default.
