Let's get startedThis option takes you to the next screen of Dell Data Assistant, where the steps to initiate the

3. Based on whether you are migrating to old or new PCs, one of the following is applicable:
Applicable to both the old and new PCsEnsure that both the old and the new PCs are connected to the same network.
This step is a mandatory step as the wireless data transfer through the network only works when both are connected to
the same network. The time it takes to complete a migration depends on the network speed and the amount of data to
be transferred from the old PC to the new PC. Therefore, we recommend connecting to a wired network if possible. If
you use a wireless network, a 5 GHz network will be faster than a 2.4 GHz network. However, migrate is designed to
work over any network.
It is important that both PCs are connected to an AC power source to avoid disruptions during the migration process. If
one PC were to run out of battery power, the migration or erase process would not complete successfully.
Applicable to new PC onlyOn your new PC, launch the Dell SupportAssist application from the Start menu. At the
bottom-left of the screen, click Go Now to launch Dell Migrate.
