Table 150. BIOS settings supported in Dell Command | Monitor 10.4 (continued)
BIOS Settings Name Description Supported
Operating
System(s)
Enabled
PC Card and 1394
Enables or Disables the PC Card and 1394 devices.
Possible values are:
Disabled
Enabled
Windows
PCIe Bifurcation
This setting allows the bifurcation feature configuration of
the CPU's PCIe port.
The auto setting configures the PCIe port to its maximum
width (1x16) unless a mass storage controller card is
installed. When a mass storage controller card is installed,
the PCIe port is automatically bifurcated to 1x8 + 2x4.
The remaining and mutually-exclusive options allow explicit
bifurcation configuration of the CPU's PCIe port.
Possible values are:
Auto
1x16
2x8
1x8+2x4
Windows, Linux
PCI Bus
Sets the maximum number of PCI bus count for the system.
Possible values are:
64
128
256
Windows, Linux
PCIe Bus Allocation
PCIe Bus Allocation controls on how the PCIe bus
resources are allocated among the PCIe SLOTs.
Possible values are:
Default
Optimize for Thunderbolt
Option1
Option2
Option3
Windows, Linux
PCIe RSA
Enables or Disables the Reliability Availability Serviceability
(RSA) support on PCIe devices.
Possible values are:
Disabled
Enabled
Windows, Linux
Pci Resource Allocation Ratio Allocates PCI resources, buses, memory-mapped I/O
(MMIO) space, and I/O space. If set to Allocate Evenly,
equal amount of memory is allocated to all the resources
when two CPUs are installed. When set to Allocate More
to CPU1, larger amount of device-specific memory is
allocated, which in turn reduces the usable memory on a
system with a 32-bit operating system.
Possible values are:
Allocate Evenly
