• 2 = Express Charge — Switches the primary battery to Express Charge mode
using the express charging algorithm
• 3 = AC Use — Recommended setting for users who primarily operate the
battery when it is plugged in
• 4 = Auto Charge — The battery places itself in a mode based on periodic
evaluation of customer usage to deliver the best balance of capacity
• 5 = Custom Charge — The battery starts and stops charging based on the
user input
Primary Battery Custom
Charge Limit
Charges the battery based on the user input.
Possible values are:
• 1 = Primary Battery Custom Charge Start Limit — Is applicable to the
DCIM_BIOSService for setting the start limit for charging the battery.
• 2 = Primary Battery Custom Charge Stop Limit — Is applicable to the
DCIM_BIOSService for setting the stop limit for charging the battery.
Possible values for the Start and Stop limit are:
• Start limit = 50 — 95
• Stop limit = 55 — 100
• Granularity — Dead band in binary format. For example, if the dead band is
5%, the stop charging value is 5% greater than the start charging value, but
is not allowed to exceed 100.

card as a primary video device slot.
