The Dell Command | Intel vPro Out Of Band
Application
The Dell Command | Intel vPro Out of Band application provides an out-of-band management solution through a stand-alone application
on the system running Dell Command | Integration Suite for System Center. The application allows you remotely to manage client systems
regardless of the system power or operating state.
You can use the Dell Command | Intel vPro Out of Band application to perform the following tasks:
• Remote Provisioning— Configure your environment to allow you to easily perform remote AMT provisioning of client systems
• USB Provisioning — Provision and setup Intel AMT enabled client systems
• Indications — Remotely monitor, diagnose, and manage clients using Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) filters
• Client Configuration — Configure client system settings:
• Power Profile — Configure and apply the preferred power policy
• Boot Order — Configure or change the boot order
• BIOS Settings — Configure and update the BIOS settings
• BIOS Passwords — Clear, set, or specify the length of your Administrator and System passwords
• Operations — Perform remote operations:
• KVM Connect — Set up and run KVM sessions
• Power Management — Remotely manage power settings
• Wipe Client Data — Remotely format client hard drives
• Reports — Generate reports for out-of-band manageability, provisioned systems, battery health, and hardware inventory.
• Task Queue — Monitor task progress and details

Software Prerequisites
Before running the Dell Command | Intel vPro Out of Band application:
• For In-Band shutdown to work correctly, the system running Dell Command | Integration Suite for System Center must have Windows
Powershell version 2.0 or greater installed, and WinRM configured. For more information on configuring WinRM, see Configuring
WinRM on Client Systems.
Configuring WinRM on Client Systems
If WinRm has not been configured on any client systems with which you are working that were not provisioned via the Remote
Provisioning feature, do the following command at an administrative command prompt:
