BIOS Password

Description
For example, cctk.exe ConnectionProfile --Set=C:\connectionprofile.xml --
valsyspwd=pwd.
NOTE: If the setuppwd is set, then run the following command --valsetuppwd=pwd.
To delete the BIOSConnect profile from the BIOS, run the following command: cctk.exe
BIOSConnect --Delete --valsyspwd=pwd.
For example, cctk.exe ConnectionProfile --Delete --valsyspwd=pwd.
NOTE: If the system supports the BIOSConnect feature, then --Help displays all the five
BIOSConnect profiles.
Existing -O reads the supported features and writes in .ini file. This includes BIOSConnect profiles
as well. Profiles which are set, their entries are available in .ini file and profile value is written in
an .xml file.
Example: If the ConnectionProfile is set, .ini file contains the following entry
ConnectionProfile=ConnectionProfile.xml and the .xml profile exists in the same
directory.
--xml command is used to read all the features that are supported by the Dell Command
| Configure. This file is used by the Dell Command | Configure user interface. To update
--xml option and if you provide the correct password, .ini file contains the following entry
ConnectionProfile=ConnectionProfile.xml and the .xml profile exists in the same
directory.
When you provide an incorrect password or the password is not provided, then the
following command <option option_id="CloudAppProfile" name="CloudAppProfile"
value="CloudAppProfile.xml" errorcode="1"/> is created in the dump.xml.
NOTE:
When the setup password is set or both the setup and the system password is set, and
if you provide an incorrect password or the password is not provided, then the error code 2 is
displayed.
NOTE: If the system that does not support the BIOSConnect feature, then the -O and -xml
option does not have any entry in .ini and .xml file.
When the BIOS
password is not set
To read the BIOSConnect profile from the BIOS, run the following command: cctk.exe
BIOSConnect --Get.
For example, cctk.exe ConnectionProfile --Get.
NOTE: The xml path of the profile has to be provided in --Set command.
To delete the BIOSConnect profile from the BIOS, run the following command: cctk.exe
BIOSConnect --Delete.
For example, cctk.exe ConnectionProfile --Delete.
To update -O option, run the following command: cctk.exe -O dump.ini.
To update --xml option, profiles which are set in the systems are read. The profile value is written
in profile .xml file, and an entry is made in the main .xml file. Example: If CloudAppProfile is set, run
the following command cctk.exe --xml dump.xml.
The following entry is created in the dump.xml file: <option option_id="CloudAppProfile"
name="CloudAppProfile" value="CloudAppProfile.xml" errorcode="0"/>.
