Enables or disables error checking on the FAN_HDD3 fan controller.
NOTE: If the fan controller detects a fan, it automatically enables it.

Attribute Details Description
Valid Argument Bypass, Quiet, Suggested, Performance
Sets the hard disk acoustic mode. If set to Bypass, BIOS does not modify the currently set acoustic
mode of the hard disks. Quiet sets the acoustic mode of the hard disks to the quietest operation.
Suggested sets the acoustic mode of the hard disks to the setting suggested by the manufacturer.
Performance sets the acoustic mode of the hard disks for the highest disk performance.

Specifies the devices in the hard disk drive sequence menu that are attempted in the boot sequence. If
set to off, only the first device is attempted in the boot sequence. If set to on, all devices are
attempted as listed in the hard disk drive sequence.

Valid Argument Read-only
The option displays the details of the HDD. The information displays the name of the HDD (HDD
Name), whether the HDD is physically present (Present), whether a password exists for the HDD
(Pwd-Protected), whether a reboot is required to set the password (Pending-Restart), and
whether the changes to the password can be made only by an administrator (Admin-only-
change).
