Upgrading Dell Command | Congure 4.2 for

systems running on Linux

1 From dell.com/support, download the Dell Command | Congure .tar.gz le and save it on your system.

2 Upgrade the version of Dell Command | Congure on the system.

NOTE: Uninstalling and upgrading Dell Command | Congure on systems running supported Linux operating systems

leaves empty les and folders on the system. The les and folders do not have any functional impact.

1 From Dell.com/support, download the command-configure-4.2.0-<Build Number>.el7.x86_64.tar.gz le

2 Untar the le using the following command: tar -zxvf command-configure-4.2.0-<Build

Number>.el7.x86_64.tar.gz

• To upgrade Dell Command | Congure on systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 systems using 64-bit RPMs, run the

commands in the following order:

3 rpm -Uvh --nodeps srvadmin-hapi-9.3.0-2501.11182.el7.x86_64.rpm

4 rpm —Uvh command-configure-4.2.0-<build number>.el7.x86_64.rpm

1 From Dell.com/support, download the command_configure-4.2.0-<Build Number>.el7.x86_64.tar.gz le

2 Untar the le using the following command: tar -zxvf command_configure-4.2.0-<Build

Number>.el7.x86_64.tar.gz

• To upgrade Dell Command | Congure on systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 systems using 64-bit RPMs, run the

commands in the following order:

3 rpm -Uvh --nodeps srvadmin-hapi-9.3.0-2501.11182.el6.x86_64.rpm

4 rpm —Uvh command-configure-4.2.0-<build number>.el6.x86_64.rpm
