Command line interface
This chapter provides a general overview of the Command Line Interface (CLI) utility. It explains how to run the commands and the syntax
details of the command line options used to congure BIOS settings for client systems.

You can run the Dell Command | Congure commands in two ways:
Using the command prompt.

Using the command prompt
To run Dell Command | Congure commands:
1 Click Start > All Program > Dell > Command Congure > Dell Command Congure Command Prompt.
NOTE
: If you are using a system running the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system or later, right-click Dell Command
Congure Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
2 Run the Dell Command | Congure commands.

Using a bootable image
To run Dell Command | Congure commands:
1 Copy Dell Command | Congure with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) image to a Compact disc (CD). For more

2 Copy Dell Command | Congure with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) image to a Compact disc (CD). For more

3 Boot the system that you want to congure from the CD.
