Version 3.0 Release Date: September 2014 Previous Version 2.2.1 Dell Command Configure (formerly known as Client Configuration Toolkit or CCTK) is a packaged software offering that provides configuration capability to Dell client systems such as OptiPlex, Latitude, Venue Pro Tablet, and Dell Precision workstation. You can configure the client systems using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a Command Line Interface (CLI).

Resolution: These options will work after upgrading to future BIOS releases.
Issue 6: Description: Read-only options, such as asset, svctag, and so on, do not report if they are used along with the -o option. Issue 7: Description: At present, Command Configure supports only single byte characters for asset set operation. If the user has a different locale, change the keyboard layout to English before using the asset option. Issue 8: Description: Following are the known issues on OptiPlex 740: • Floppy option does not work. • Usbemu option does not work.
Issue 12: Description: Command Configure log file does not capture information related to the sub options of commands. Issue 13: Description: On OptiPlex 760, Command Configure may allow to set setup and system passwords with number of characters lesser than what BIOS mandates. Issue 14: Description: On Dell Precision Workstation M4400, the bootorder option may not display the correct number of boot devices.
Issue 18: Description: Command Configure allows enabling Legacy Option ROM when Secure Boot is on. However, there is no negative impact due to this on the BIOS. This issue will be addressed in the upcoming BIOS version. Issue 19: Description: Command Configure allows disabling Legacy Option ROM when Boot mode is Legacy. However, there is no negative impact due to this on the BIOS. This issue will be addressed in the upcoming BIOS version.
Issue 23: Description: Blinkpsu1led and Blinkpsu2led will not be present in the ini file/SCE as they are enable- only tokens and they are active only for few seconds. In GUI, these tokens are greyed out when you click Validate. Issue 24: If any of the fans is not working, the advsm option reports the status as other. Issue 25: On systems where advbatterychargecfg is not supported, when the option is enumerated, the system displays disable.
Issue 29: On some of the platforms that support Advanced System Management, temperature probe of Memory sensor 2 is giving the present status as Non Critical instead of normal state. This issue will be addressed in the upcoming BIOS version. Issue 30: On some of the platforms that support Advanced System Management, setting noncritical upper threshold values for cooling device indicates that the action failed in the command line; however, setting the same will be successful.
Issue 4: Description: On successive attempts to invoke the Command Configure GUI, the following error message is displayed: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Resolution: Click Continue to access the GUI. Issue 5: Description: In rare circumstances, when .NET libraries may not have loaded correctly, exporting SCE gives an error message like Unexpected Error. This does not affect the Command Configure functionality. Resolution: Issue 15: Do export again and it will be successful.
Prerequisites • Install Command Configure on a supported Windows operating system. • Launch Command Configure GUI. • Select appropriate configuration settings in the Command Configure GUI. • Export the settings as a SCE file. • Extract the contents of SCE file using the option ‘/s /e=’ in Windows environment. Issue 2: Description: While uninstalling HAPI RPM, a warning message is displayed indicating that there is no such file. Resolution: Ignore the message.
