Completion code
The following table displays the completion code of an update operation performed by BIOS in the recent shutdown or reboot
operation.
Table 5. Completion codes
Code Description
0000h The update was completed successfully.
0001h The image failed one or more consistency checks.
0002h The BIOS could not access the ash-memory device.
0003h The ash-memory device was not ready when an erase was attempted.
0004h Flash programming is currently disabled on the system, or the voltage is low.
0005h A battery must be installed for the operation to complete.
0006h A fully-charged battery must be present for the operation to complete.
0007h An external power adapter must be connected for the operation to complete.
0008h The 12V required to program the ash-memory could not be set.
0009h The 12V required to program the ash-memory could not be removed.
000Ah A ash-memory failure occurred during a block-erase operation.
000Bh A general failure occurred during the ash programming.
000Ch A data miscompare error occurred during the ash programming.
000Dh The image could not be found in memory or the header could not be located.
000Eh Reserved for future assignment via this specication.
FFFFh No update operation has been performed on the system.
