32 Dell Warranty Information Utility
NOTE: These parameters can either be configured in a file or in a registry
using the setup_config command. For more information on configuring
registry, see
Configuring the Registry
.

Input the service tags to the utility. You can input the service tags through:
• A Comma-separated values (CSV) file containing service tags, one
service tag per line. Run the command
DellWarrantyInfo.exe get_info MyTags.csv
in the warranty utility to get warranty information of the service tags
listed in the .csv file named MyTags.csv.
• Service tags contained in the ConfigMgr inventory.
Run the command
DellWarrantyInfo.exe get_info
internal_sccm
in the warranty utility to get warranty information
of service tags listed in the ConfigMgr database.
Configuring the Registry
To configure the warranty utility in the registry, enter the following command
DellWarrantyInfo.exe setup_config in the warranty
utitlity.Enter all the configuration information required to setup the
warranty utility, for more information, see
Configuring the Warranty Utility
.
NOTE: If a certain setup parameters like Proxy Domain needs to be skipped, simply
press enter key without any input.
The configuration parameters are stored in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software\Dell\DellClientIntegrationPack\Warranty registry location.
NOTE: The password is stored in an encrypted form.
Configuring A Database File
To configure the warranty utility through a database file, enter the following
command
DellWarrantyInfo.exe setup_config config_file=
admin.cfg (where admin.cfg is the name of your configuration file).
