NOTE: If you purchased Citrix XenDesktop VDI Edition, you will not have an
activation code for XenServer.
9 Use XenCenter to install the XenServer license file on your host server.
NOTE: If you are using the free edition of XenServer bundled with XenDesktop
VDI Edition, you must register your installation of XenServer. A license file is not
required for registration.
10 Install the XenDesktop software that you downloaded in step 5. See the Citrix
XenDesktop Administrator's Guide
available at support.citrix.com/product/xd/
for installation options.
NOTE: The License Server software will be installed during the Desktop Delivery
Controller installation.
11 On the Citrix SA website, click the Redeem your XenDesktop Activation
Codes
link.
The
MyCitrix.com web page is displayed.
12 Log in to your MyCitrix account.
NOTE: If you do not have an existing MyCitrix account, you must register for a
new account prior to logging in.
13 To download the license file:
a Under Choose a Toolbox , select Activation System/Manage Licenses .
The
Activation System/Manage Licenses page is displayed.
b Under Current Tool , select Activate/Allocate .
c Enter the XenDesktop activation code from your licensing card.
d Enter your customer information.
e Enter the host name for your license server.
14 Use the Management License Console t o install the XenDesktop license file
on your license server.
