Conguring CMC
CMC enables you to congure CMC properties, set up users, and set up alerts to perform remote management tasks.
Before you begin conguring the CMC, you must rst congure the CMC network settings to allow the CMC to be managed remotely. This
initial conguration assigns the TCP/IP networking parameters that enable access to the CMC. For more information, see Setting Up Initial
Access to CMC.
You can congure CMC using Web interface or RACADM.
NOTE: When you congure CMC for the rst time, you must be logged in as root user to execute RACADM commands on a
remote system. Another user can be created with privileges to congure CMC.
After setting up the CMC and performing the basic conguration, you can do the following:
Modify the network settings if required.
Congure interfaces to access CMC.
Congure LED display.
Setup Chassis Groups if required.
Congure Servers, IOMs, or iKVM.
Congure VLAN Settings.
Obtain the required certicates.
Add and congure CMC users with privileges.
Congure and enable email alerts and SNMP traps.
Set the power cap policy if required.
