Users Guide
Conguring CMC
CMC enables you to congure CMC properties, set up users, and set up alerts to perform remote management tasks.
Before you begin conguring the CMC, you must rst congure the CMC network settings to allow the CMC to be managed remotely. This
initial conguration assigns the TCP/IP networking parameters that enable access to the CMC. For more information, see Setting Up Initial
Access to CMC.
You can congure CMC using Web interface or RACADM.
NOTE: When you congure CMC for the rst time, you must be logged in as root user to execute RACADM commands on a
remote system. Another user can be created with privileges to congure CMC.
After setting up the CMC and performing the basic conguration, you can do the following:
• Modify the network settings if required.
• Congure interfaces to access CMC.
• Congure LED display.
• Setup Chassis Groups if required.
• Congure Servers, IOMs, or iKVM.
• Congure VLAN Settings.
• Obtain the required certicates.
• Add and congure CMC users with privileges.
• Congure and enable email alerts and SNMP traps.
• Set the power cap policy if required.
