El CMC no requiere que las unidades de suministro de energía estén presentes en una posición especíca de las ranuras cuando está
congurado el modo Sin redundancia.
NOTA: Todas las PSU del chasis están En línea si la DPSE está desactivada con el modo Sin redundancia. Cuando se activa la
DPSE, todas las PSU activas del chasis aparecen como En línea y las PSU adicionales pueden quedar En espera para aumentar la
eciencia energética del sistema.

Una falla en una PSU hace que las demás salgan del modo En espera, según sea necesario, para cubrir las asignaciones de energía del
chasis. Si existen cuatro PSU y solo se requieren tres, en el caso de que una falle, la cuarta unidad se pone en línea. Un chasis puede tener
las seis PSU en línea.
Al activar la DPSE, las PSU adicionales pueden quedar En espera para aumentar la eciencia y ahorrar energía. Para obtener más

Extended Power Performance (EPP)
Extended Power Performance mode enables allocation of 30% additional power in a conguration of six Power Supply Units (PSUs), to the
M1000e chassis, than the redundant power in a Grid Redundancy conguration using 3000 W AC PSUs. However, the power allocated to
servers is automatically reduced in the event of an AC grid failure or a PSU failure, so that the servers are not powered o. A maximum of
2700W power can be allocated to support chassis with high-end congurations.
By default, the EPP feature is enabled on six 3000W AC power supply conguration. You can view the current setting, disable and enable
this feature using both the Web interface and the Command Line interface.
EPP feature allows power allocations only when:
• Power is congured for Grid redundancy.
• There are six PSUs that are of 3000W AC type.
• System Input Power Cap is higher than 13300W AC (45381 BTU/h).
The power gained using EPP mode is available for increasing the server performance. When compared with a six 2700W AC PSU
conguration, the additional power available on a six 3000W AC PSU conguration with Enhanced Cooling Mode for fans enabled and
active is 723W. When compared with a six 2700W AC PSU conguration, the additional power available in standard fan congurations
mode, is 1023W.
The EPP additional power available is 2700W, which can be used to increase server performance only.
The EPP mode can be enabled only when the following power features are disabled:
• Max Power Conservation Mode (MPCM)
• Dynamic Power Supply engagement (DPSE)
• Server Based Power Management (SBPM)
