Users Guide
Max Power Conservation Mode (MPCM) can be enabled on 3000W AC PSU configuration, using RACADM CLI with existing
interface. There is no change to RACADM CLI interface for enabling MPCM, while EPP is enabled.
Scenario 5: Trying to enable EPP from the disabled start condition, when other power configuration settings are set.
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when System Input Power Cap is low
racadm config -g cfgchassispower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable
This feature is not supported while System Input Power Cap is set to less than or
equal to 13300 W (45381 BTU/h).
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when DPSE is Enabled
racadm config -g cfgChassisPower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable 1
This feature is not supported while Dynamic Power Supply Engagement is enabled.
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when SBPM is Enabled
racadm config -g cfgChassisPower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable 1
This feature is not supported while Server Based Power Management is enabled.
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when MPCM is Enabled
racadm config -g cfgChassisPower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable 1
This feature is not supported while Max Power Conservation Mode is enabled.
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when PSU Redundancy Policy is set
racadm config -g cfgChassisPower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable 1
This feature is not supported until Redundancy Policy is set to Grid Redundancy.
• Enabling EPP on a 3000W AC PSU when No Redundancy Policy is set
racadm config -g cfgChassisPower -o cfgChassisEPPEnable 1
This feature is not supported until Redundancy Policy is set to Grid Redundancy.
Scenario 6: Firmware downgrade when EPP is enabled on a 3000W AC PSUs
racadm fwupdate -g -u -a 192.168.0.100 -d firmimg.cmc -m cmc-active -m cmc-standby
Cannot update local CMC firmware: The uploaded firmware image does not support the
installed power supplies.
