The Dell Chassis Management Controller (CMC) is a hot-pluggable systems management hardware and
software solution designed to provide the following functions for Dell PowerEdge M1000e chassis system:
• Remote management capabilities
• Power control
• Cooling control

This release of CMC supports the following features:
• Cisco FEX switch
• FC16 switch support
• Brocade M6505
• Mezzanine card support
 QLogic FC16 2P QME2662
 Emulex FC16 LPm16002B-D
• 1:Many agent free, OS independent firmware update capability for supported 12G Fibre
Channel(FC)mezzanine cards
• Update Dell PowerEdge M IO Aggregator firmware from the CMC
• Save BIOS configuration profiles to hard disk for restoring to the same or a different chassis
• RACADM support to configure Dell EqualLogic PS-M4110 Blade Array
• Multi-chassis management
 capability to select chassis configuration properties from Lead Chassis and push to
Group Members
 capability for Group Members to keep their chassis settings synchronized with the Lead
Chassis
• Reset iDRAC without rebooting the blade server from the CMC
• Default key size for Certificate Signing Requests changed from 1024 to 2048
