ping
Description Verifies that the destination IP address is reachable from
iDRAC with the current routing-table contents. A
destination IP address is required. An ICMP echo packet
is sent to the destination IP address based on the current
routing-table contents.
To use this subcommand, you must have Execute
Diagnostic Commands or Configure iDRAC permission.
Synopsis
racadm ping <ipaddress>
ping6
Description Verifies that the destination IPv6 address is reachable
from iDRAC or CMC or with the current routing-table
contents. A destination IPv6 address is required. An ICMP
echo packet is sent to the destination IPv6 address based
on the current routing-table contents.
To use this subcommand for CMC you must have
Administrator privilege for CMC and for iDRAC you must
have Execute Diagnostic Commands or Configure iDRAC
permission.
