Using the CMC Web Interface 233
Apply Profile
When Stored Profiles are available in the non-volatile media on the CMC, to
initiate a server cloning operation, apply a Stored Profile to one or more
servers.
The operation status, slot number, slot name, and model name is displayed
for each server in the Apply Profile table. After applying a Stored Profile to a
server, the server gets rebooted immediately.
View BIOS Settings on Server
To view server BIOS settings for a selected server in the Apply Profile table,
click View in the BIOS settings column for the selected entry.
The View Settings page is displayed.
Only BIOS settings on the server which may be modified by applying a profile
(cloneable settings) are displayed. The settings are partitioned into groups in
a similar fashion to the way they are displayed in the iDRAC BIOS Setup
screen.
NOTE: Any changes made to the blade BIOS settings in the console are displayed
in the View Settings page, only after a system inventory is done on the blade. For
this the Collect System Inventory On Reboot (CSIOR) must be enabled in the BIOS.
Manage Stored Profiles
To manage the Stored Profiles on the CMC, click Manage Profiles in the
Apply Profile table. The Manage BIOS Profiles page is displayed.
The Manage BIOS Profiles page enables you to edit the name or description
of a Stored Profile, view the BIOS settings it contains, or delete a Stored
Profile.
Recent Profile Log
The Recent Profile Log table on the main blade cloning page lists recent
profile log entries directly from server cloning operations. Each recent profile
log displays the severity, the time and date when server cloning operation was
submitted, and the description of the cloning log message.
Messages found in the Recent Profile Log are also written to the RAC log.
The Recent Profile Log table contains the 10 latest Profile Log entries. To
view the other available entries, click Go to Profile Log.
