Owner's Manual

214 Using the CMC Web Interface
includes a firmware verification stage. Progress of this process can be observed
by viewing the server console. If there are several components or devices that
need to be updated on a server, you can consolidate all the updates into one
scheduled operation thus minimizing the number of reboots required.
Table 5-58 describes the buttons available and the actions that can be
performed on the Server Component Update page:
Sometimes, when an operation is in the process of being submitted for
scheduling through another session or context, another operation is
attempted. In this case, a confirmation popup message is displayed indicating
the situation and the operation is not be submitted. Wait for the operation in
process to complete and then submit the operation again.
Managing iDRAC
CMC provides the Deploy iDRAC page to allow the user to configure
installed and newly inserted server's iDRAC network configuration settings.
A user can configure one or more installed iDRAC devices from this page.
The user can also configure the default iDRAC network configuration
settings and root password for severs that are installed later; these
default settings are the iDRAC QuickDeploy settings.
For more information on the behaviour of iDRAC, see the iDRAC User’s
Guides at support.dell.com/manuals.
