• The Chassis Group leader chassis and all Chassis Group member chassis must be in Chassis Power State On.
• All servers in the associated chassis must be turned on.
The inventory data for the associated chassis and servers may be missing in inventory report, if a subset of the Chassis Group
member chassis are:
• In Chassis Power State Off state
• Turned off
NOTE: If a server is inserted while the chassis is turned off, the model number is not displayed anywhere in the web
interface until the chassis is turned on again.
The following table lists the specific data fields and specific requirements for fields to be reported for each server:

Data Format
The inventory report is generated in a .CSV file format such that it can be imported to various tools, such as Microsoft Excel. The
inventory report .CSV file can be imported into the template by selecting the Data → From Text in MS Excel. After the inventory
report is imported into MS Excel, and if a message is displayed asking you for additional information, select comma-delimited to
import the file into MS Excel.
Chassis Group Inventory and Firmware Version
The Chassis Group Firmware Version page displays the group inventory and firmware versions of the servers and the server
components in the chassis. This page also enables you to organize the inventory information and filter the firmware versions view.
The displayed view is based on the servers or any of the following chassis server components:
