If a failure occurs, the command stops with an
error message that displays the required corrective
action. Use the optional -d switch to obtain
additional diagnostic information, as needed.

testtrap
Description Tests the RAC’s SNMP trap alerting feature by sending a test trap from iDRAC
to a specified destination trap listener on the network.
To use this subcommand, you must have the Test Alerts privilege.
NOTE: Before you execute the testtrap subcommand, make sure that the
specified index in the RACADM cfgAlerting group is configured properly.
Synopsis
racadm testtrap -i <index>
Input -i — Specifies the index of the trap configuration to be used for the test. Valid
values are from 1 to 4.
Example
Commands for the cfgIpmiPet group:
Enable the alert
racadm config -g cfgIpmiPet -o cfgIpmiPetAlertEnable -i 1
Set the destination e-mail IP address
racadm config -g cfgIpmiPet -o cfgIpmiPetAlertDestIpAddr
-i 1 192.168.0.110
View the current test trap settings
racadm getconfig -g cfgIpmiPet -i <index>
where <index> is a number from 1 to 4.
traceroute
Description Traces the network path of routers that packets
take as they are forwarded from your system to a
destination IPv4 address.
To use this subcommand, you must have the
Administrator privilege.
Synopsis
racadm traceroute <IPv4 address>
