Locate the SD card slot on the bottom of the CMC module and insert the

contact-pin end of the card into the slot with the label on the card facing

outward. See Figure 1-1.

Press down on the card until you hear a click to lock it into the slot.

Slide the CMC module into the enclosure. Reattach any cables that were

disconnected. On a single CMC system, the SD card will activate

automatically.

For redundant CMC module systems, initiate a changeover to make the

passive module active using the GUI interface to perform the following steps:

Navigate to the

Chassis

page, click the

Power Management

tab -

Control

sub tab.

Select the

Reset CMC (warm boot)

button.

Click

Apply

The CMC automatically fails over to the redundant module, and that module

now becomes active. The SD card activates automatically. Once FlexAddress

is activated, CMCs can fail over without impacting the FlexAddress feature.
